Opcare delivers a complete range of Prosthetic Services for both upper and lower limb loss (or limb absence from birth) using the most appropriate solution matched to the patient’s needs.
The service we offer in conjunction with the NHS is comprehensive. We employ Clinicians, Technicians (who manufacture the artificial limbs) and Administrators in the centres where we operate and provide central support regarding Logistics, Human Resources and Quality Management. We work in partnership with NHS Consultants, NHS Managers, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Specialist Nurses, Rehabilitation Engineers and Counsellors. Our excellence in, and commitment to, this field is uniquely underlined by the fact that our founder and CEO is himself by background a Prosthetist.

We are committed to Quality Management and were the first organisation of our kind to be awarded a recognised quality standard back in 1992. We were also the first service provider in our sector to have ISO13485 – a standard specific to medical devices. Opcare was awarded the Investors in People standard in 2007 (re-awarded in 2012), which recognises our progressive approach to the management and development of our staff.
