The Northern Ireland Prosthetic Service Open day was organised on Saturday 9th April 2016 by the Prosthetic Forum in partnership with the Belfast Trust and Opcare.
It was an opportunity for service users and professionals alike to learn more about the support and services available to those living with limb loss. Various stands were present including the Belfast Trust Fair Team, Limbless Support, Disability Action, Oasis Travel, Diabetes UK, Better Gym, REACH, Shopmobility and Motability.
As a result, attendees were able to get information on, for example, holidays, staying active, and peer support with the aim of continuing to improve the quality of life for service users and their families in Northern Ireland.
Due to the success of the Open Day, it will hopefully run again in the future!
