Opcare has provided Prosthetic Services to the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust, at the Oxford Centre for Enablement, for the last 28 years. We work closely with the Consultant-led Multidisciplinary Team to deliver this service, employing the Prosthetists, Technicians and Administrators. We are based on the first floor to the rear of the building. Opcare provides prosthetic treatment for around 1800 patients in Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Wiltshire. The team consists of a mixture of Opcare and NHS staff. The staff includes five Prosthetists, nine Technicians (including a Clinical Support Technician), a Consultant, a Nurse, a Counsellor, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and Administrative staff.
Monday – Thursday: 8:30 – 16:30, Friday: 08:30 – 16:00.
Appointments can be made with the Clinical Support Technician for mechanical repairs. Any issues regarding socket fit or alignment will require an appointment with your Prosthetist.
